America’s Seed Fund – By Industry Focus

This is Day 2 of the America’s Seed Fund workshop series.
There are 11 different federal agencies that participate in the SBIR/STTR program and they each focus on a particular set of research areas and idea development. New participants to the programs can often overlook “hidden gems” within agencies when selecting, as some agencies fund research that is not necessarily synonymous with that agencies namesake (e.g. United States Department of Agriculture and Rural/Community Development). Flexible small businesses know to dig deeper into the topic areas and the portfolio of projects, but many small startups miss the forest for the trees when deciding a particular agency is a fit for their potential product.
Navigating the SBIR/STTR agencies can be diffcult, particularly when different agencies fund different types of innovations and focus on different areas of research.
In each session, we will explore the agencies that align with each industry area and discuss:

How to get started with these agencies
Tips/tricks and first steps in connecting with these opportunities
